Persistent, Itchy Bumps?
Do you struggle with chronic, itchy bumps, especially on your arms and legs? You could be dealing with a common dermatological condition called Prurigo Nodularis.…
Dr. Mahoney founded Mahoney Dermatology Specialists in 2007, with his wife Erin and a staff of two. Our dermatology practice in Pinellas Park, FL and St Petersburg, FL is, and always will be, a local family business. Our goal was to create a dermatology practice that was patient-focused, centering on providing cutting edge dermatology for our patients without the “assembly line” feel of many of the large dermatology practices surrounding us today. As patients ourselves, we don’t like to be rushed, and we appreciate the opportunity to ask questions about the our diagnosis and treatment. We have always sought to treat our patients as we would treat our friends and family, with kindness and compassion, but also with the most advanced and effective care from a dermatologist in Pinellas Park and St. Petersburg, FL.

Proposed Medicare rule could split your care into two appointments
What this means for you: If we find a suspicious spot during your exam today, we can biopsy or treat it while you’re already here. Under this rule, that same care would often require a second appointment. $$$ – DELAYS – ADDITIONAL TRIPS/VISITS That means a second trip, a second copay, and for skin cancer — a longer wait for answers. This rule applies across all of your doctors, not just dermatology.
